THE WAR FOR THE BODY: How Satan Twists the Words of Christ and Turns Mothers Against Life

“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world…” — Ephesians 6:12 (NLT)

Introduction: The Battle for Language, Life, and Dominion
In the garden, Satan’s first weapon was not violence—it was language. His venom was verbal.
“Did God really say…?” — Genesis 3:1 (NLT)
He did not attack the fruit; he attacked the meaning of God’s words. And ever since, he has used words as his battlefield.
Today, we see that same strategy unleashed in one of the greatest moral and spiritual deceptions of our time: the twisting of Christ’s holy words — “This is My body, given for you” (Luke 22:19) — into the dark anthem of rebellion: “My body, my choice.”
This isn’t coincidence. It’s calculated. Satan cannot create life, so he convinces humanity to destroy it. He cannot dethrone God, so he strikes at the image of God—man, woman, and child. He knows he cannot overcome Heaven, so he makes war on the family, the very reflection of Heaven on earth.

Section I: The Holy Declaration — “This Is My Body”
At the Last Supper, Christ broke bread and spoke the words that define the Gospel:
“This is My body, given for you.” — Luke 22:19
This is the language of love, submission, and sacrifice. It is the ultimate declaration that life is meant to be given, not taken.
In Christ, the body becomes an altar. He offers Himself for others, surrendering His will to the Father:
“Not My will, but Yours be done.” — Luke 22:42
The Eucharist represents divine selflessness—God giving His very life to bring forth new life. Every act of motherhood echoes that truth. Every womb was designed to be a living sanctuary, a continuation of God’s creative will.
But Satan, who cannot create, seeks to corrupt. The enemy turns the womb—once a temple of life—into a battlefield of death.
---
Section II: The Counterfeit Gospel — “My Body, My Choice”
Where Jesus said, “My body, given for you,” the world now shouts, “My body, my choice.”
This slogan, championed by institutions like Planned Parenthood, is not merely political; it’s spiritual warfare disguised as empowerment. It is the serpent’s voice echoing through the ages—whispering again, “You will be like God” (Genesis 3:5).
It is the same lie repackaged for modern ears: autonomy as divinity, self-worship as freedom.
But “freedom” apart from God always leads to slavery. “Choice” apart from truth always leads to death.
Just as Satan deceived Eve by twisting God’s words, he now deceives a generation by twisting Christ’s. He has weaponized womanhood against itself, convincing would-be mothers that power lies not in nurturing life, but in destroying it.
Satan knows he cannot create life—so he seeks to destroy what God creates through others. He cannot make a child, so he manipulates mothers into killing their own. The enemy’s rage is not against the woman—it’s against the image of God within her womb.
---
Section III: The Serpent’s Strategy — War on the Family
When Satan failed to overthrow God in Heaven, he turned his wrath toward Earth—and toward the family.
“Then the dragon was angry at the woman and declared war against the rest of her children…” — Revelation 12:17 (NLT)
He attacked Adam through Eve, because Eve was the vessel through which life would continue. That was no accident. The seed of the woman (Genesis 3:15) was God’s promise of Christ, the One who would crush the serpent’s head.
So Satan’s fury is aimed at the womb, the birthplace of prophecy and promise. Every child carries potential destiny. Every unborn life is a living defiance of hell.
If he cannot kill the Son of God, he will try to kill the sons and daughters of God.
If he cannot stop creation, he will pervert it.
If he cannot dethrone Heaven, he will desecrate the home.
That’s why abortion is not simply a moral issue—it’s a spiritual assault on the family, the image of God, and the Gospel itself.
---
Section IV: The False Eucharist — Blood for Convenience
Christ’s blood was spilled to save others.
Abortion spills innocent blood to spare self.
The Eucharist says, “Life is born from sacrifice.”
Abortion says, “Sacrifice life for convenience.”
One is redemption; the other, rebellion. One altar gives life; the other demands it.
At the Cross, the innocent died for the guilty.
At the abortion table, the innocent die because the guilty want to remain comfortable.
Satan’s counterfeit gospel offers “choice” instead of repentance, “freedom” instead of forgiveness, and “control” instead of calling.
It masquerades as compassion but bears the mark of Cain—“the voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground” (Genesis 4:10).
---
Section V: The Theology of the Body — Temple or Idol
“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit… You do not belong to yourself.” — 1 Corinthians 6:19–20
The body is sacred, not sovereign. It was bought with blood.
When we claim “My body, my choice,” we declare ownership that belongs to God.
Satan wants the body to become an idol. Christ wants it to become an instrument.
In one, self rules. In the other, the Spirit reigns.
The womb is not a burden—it is a battlefield where heaven and hell contend. Every heartbeat within it testifies that life belongs to God alone.
---
Section VI: The War Against Children
From Pharaoh to Herod, Satan’s rage has always targeted children. Why? Because every child carries the potential to bring light into darkness, to fulfill a divine mission, to carry God’s image forward.
The slaughter of the innocent is Satan’s ancient signature. It’s what he did through Pharaoh in Exodus. It’s what he did through Herod at Christ’s birth. And it’s what he still does today—through the sterile language of “choice” and “healthcare.”
The enemy knows the power of the next generation. If he can’t stop prophecy, he’ll try to prevent it from being born.
Every aborted child is an assault on future purpose.
Every deceived mother is another Eve whispered to in the garden.
Every clinic is another altar of Molech dressed in modern language.
But God still asks as He did in Eden:
“What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me…” — Genesis 4:10
---
Section VII: Redeeming Language — Reclaiming the Sacred Words
Satan perverts language because he knows words have power. “This is My body, given for you” are not just words—they’re a covenant. A declaration that love means laying yourself down, not lifting yourself up.
The Church must reclaim this truth.
We must speak with conviction:
The body is a temple, not a throne.
The womb is a gift, not a right.
Life is sacred, not situational.
The enemy uses shame to silence women. Christ uses grace to restore them.
Where Satan offers death, Jesus offers forgiveness, healing, and purpose restored.
---
Conclusion: The Cross or the Serpent’s Voice
Satan cannot create life—so he convinces others to destroy it.
He cannot win against God—so he wages war against His image-bearers.
He cannot overcome Heaven—so he attacks the home.
He cannot dethrone Christ—so he deceives would-be mothers to sacrifice their children at the altar of self.
But the Cross stands in defiance of his lies.
Where the serpent says, “My body, my choice,” Jesus still declares:
“This is My body, given for you.”
One exalts self; the other exalts the Savior.
One ends in bloodshed; the other ends in redemption.
One destroys life; the other gives it abundantly.
“I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” — John 10:10
In the war for the body, believers must choose their allegiance: the serpent’s lie or the Savior’s truth.

Devotional Reflection
1. Examine:
Whose voice are you listening to—Christ’s call to life, or the culture’s call to autonomy?
2. Reflect:
How can you defend life in a world that celebrates death?
How can your body—your choices, your family, your influence—become an offering that honors Christ?
3. Pray:
Lord Jesus, silence the serpent’s whisper. Teach us again what You meant when You said, “This is My body, given for you.”
Redeem our language, our families, and our nation.
Heal the women deceived by lies and the men who stood silent.
Let Your Church rise to defend life, family, and truth.
In Your holy name, Amen.
